The Ark of San Juan—Companion Animal Rescue

The Ark of San Juan works to protect and enhance the lives of stray and abandoned domestic dogs and cats in need, with the primary focus on the animals originating from within the City of San Juan Capistrano.

St. Margaret’s Preschool students will package dog treats for Ark rescue dogs and to be sold as fundraising items at Ark events.

Camp Pendleton After School YMCA

Camp Pendleton’s After School YMCA “Operation Little Hero” program provides after-school tutoring and mentoring program for elementary aged children that will effectively support their needs.

St. Margaret’s Lower School students will assemble and design personalized snack packs for more than 400 students.

Project Linus

Project Linus is a national organization with a local Orange County chapter that provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”

St. Margaret’s Middle School students will work within their advisory groups to make fleece blankets for local children in need.

Father Serra’s Food Pantry

Father Serra’s Food Pantry located at the Mission San Juan Capistrano helps feed approximately 2500 people in need a month.

St. Margaret’s Upper School students will collect and package more than 3000 lbs. of rice and pinto beans into 2-cup packages. This supply will feed the Pantry’s service community for two months. In addition, the students will collect and package “tube sock packs” for San Juan’s homeless population. Each pack contains a pair of socks and toiletries including tooth paste, a tooth brush and deodorant.

    Four first graders: Jamie and Hailey McKay, Mitchell Frye, and Quinn Novick planned, researched, held a lemonade stand in Laguna Beach and raised $104.50 for the Episcopal Church in Haiti!
